Our Brief History

A Legacy of Growth and Excellence in Nursing Education

Originally founded as a training school for Medical Assistants, the institution evolved over the decades. In 1965, it became the Zambia Enrolled Nurse Training School. In 1970, it had transitioned to Registered Nurse training, and in 1980, it introduced Registered Midwifery training. In 2014, the college launched a three-year E-Learning program for Registered Nursing. Later, in 2018, it added Registered Public Health Nursing and Registered Midwifery programs.

Over the years, the college has consistently produced competent nurses and midwives capable of serving at all levels of healthcare delivery.
